Tolmachoff Farms

Today, Carmela and I went to the Pumpkin Patch.  They had a petting zoo, a corn maze, and lots of corn and pumpkins.  The best part was when Carmela was watching the chickens and up came a crowing rooster.  She thought is was so funny that that big bird would make such a noise!

Mom and Tot Swim

 Carmela (almost 10 months old now and crawling all around) and I have been taking a swim class on Saturday mornings with my friend, Holly, and her 11 month old, Abby.  Carmela is such an observer.  She studies her surroundings and likes to figure out who she's hanging out with.  Our first Saturday, the teacher had us all line the babies up on the edge of the pool, count to 3, and have the kiddoes "jump" into the water.  Carmela was too busy studying everyone else to watch her mommy, so we waited until everyone else had jumped in, before she took her turn.  Now she knows the routine and enjoys the edge of pool sitting jumps, watching me blow bubbles, and waving hello to the other kids.

Lupita, Cynthia, and Carmela

Carmela loves Lupita.  Lupita reads to her, tells her stories, rocks her to sleep, and sings to her.  A couple times a week Lupita's daughter, Cynthia,  comes to play.  Cynthia is 5 and loves to entertain Carmela with toys and smiley faces.

Lupita's Baptism

Lupita is our new nanny.  She is originally from Mexico and is in our Stake.  She has been waiting to find a job where she didn't have to work Sundays and where she could be content with her home environment.  Lupita moved in with us this month and will move into the studio apartment once Jenny's semester is up.  (Jenny is a business student renting the studio on the back of the house.)  Tonight we went to Lupita's baptism.  There were two others baptized as well.  It was nice.

Happy Valentine's Day

I loved these pizzas!  I want to make this an annual tradition. : )  Oh, yah...I love my Valentine too. Thanks, Jack, for planning such a fun dinner.  Next year Carmela might enjoy some pizza too.

Carmela's Blessing

Jack gave Carmela a name and a blessing today.  It was a beautiful blessing.  We had many family members join us.  Carmela wore the same blessing dress that Aunt Eileen made for me for my blessing.  Aunt Eileen made this white afghan for Carmela. Perfect for her blessing day.
