In Escrow!

Well, we did put an offer in on that house and the bank accepted it. Yeah! We met with our Realtor tonight and signed a million papers.

The house inspection is set for Saturday. We're anxious to find out what kind of shape things are in. Once that's over we'll know for sure whether we're going for it or still out on the hunt.

Thanks! We're excited. The inspection went well. It is an old home (1958) and needs some upgrades (like grounding the electricity, etc.)

We saw the house! It is a great home with lots of projects to do ahead of you! Mainly a lot of cleaning to start with. Have you decided about flooring. Lots of decisions to make. Have fun.

Our decision changes daily. : ) The latest is: laminate in the living room and office. Tile in the kitchen/dining, hallway, and bathrooms. Jack to decide for the back two bedrooms: laminate with area rugs vs carpet.

Every day or so we'll be talking about some random thing and it leads us right back into talking about plans for the house. It's fun planning and planning, but it'll be easier when we're in it.

Boy have I been in the dark with our house hunting! Glad to hear the inspection went well.

Congratulations soon-to-be homeowners. My vote is for laminate with area rugs and tile in kitchen and baths. How exciting and fu.

It really is exciting! We also toyed with idea of decorative concrete flooring in the living room and office. We were deterred by two things: It's surprisingly expensive and Jack's mom asked if we really wanted babies crawling on that cold, unforgiving floor.

Liz, we're buying here in Phoenix, not too far from where we are now. It'll be fun to have you over and also to come over and see your new place. : )
