Guatemala, Here We Come!

Jack and I are leaving in the morning for a week long mission trip to Guatemala. My school's therapy departments are going and will be working in the children's hospital, local schools, and a soup kitchen. Jack gets to come as the interpreter. : ) Click here to follow our daily updates while we're gone.

What an amazing experience. I'm so jealous! I just found out about an opportunity to do speech therapy in Mexico for a summer immersion program. I need to do some more investigating, but it sounds totally awesome! Maybe I could be half as cool as you after a summer in Mexico. Can't wait to hear all about Guatemala! Have tons of fun!!!

What a great experience! I have to admit that something was not right in my brain--I was thinking that you were going to South America, but the synapses started to connect when Mom said that you had to fly west from Miami. I got to visit Guatemala on my way back from Bolivia--that was in 1976, right after a big earthquake.
