Weekend Get-Together

Jocelyn, Andrea, and Brent all came out for the three-day weekend. We had planned to go to the water park, but didn't really want to pay the prices, so instead we bought water guns and $5 slip-and-slide and had an afternoon of fun in the backyard. We played games, went shopping, washed all the cars, and got a few new plants (thanks Mom and Dad and Brent!).

The funniest part of the weekend was when we all walked in to church ( a few minutes late, of course) and tried to sit down on one of the side pews. Surprise! We didn't fit. We popped right out of the pew and had to find another row (a center row) to sit on!

I'm starting to think that rather than spreading out on a single row, it would be better to sit on two rows. For a few months we will have Mom, Dad, Grandma, Jocelyn, Brent and Chelsea. When some were small children, we didn't take up so much room, but now that we are all adults, there aren't many rows that have that much room!

Don't get him wrong - the 6 of us DO NOT take up an entire middle row! But we had an experience at the Seminary graduation of too many of us trying to squeeze in a smaller pew - finally Jocelyn popped up and moved to the row in front!

What a nice group of friends in your picture! (Who took it, the cat?)
